Snuggle Time Prayers

Written by: Glenys Nellist
Illustrated by: Cee Biscoe

"Snuggle Time Prayers" is a book filled with bedtime prayers. It's a time to settle down and draw closer to God. This collection of  15 prayers will remind children of their blessings as they fall fast to sleep!

"God Listens"
He hears us.
1 John 5:14

I don't have to close my eyes
 or knell down when I pray;
 Even when I think a prayer
 you hear what I say!
 You listen when I'm happy;
 You listen when I'm sad.
 and just to know you hear my prayers
 makes me really glad.

This book is so cute and the prayers actually rhyme. It is written well and easy to understand for children. My daughter is 9 years old and she enjoyed reading it together at night. I love the variety of prayer books out there for children. This one is a keeper! I highly recommend it Friends..

  1. Hey there. I'm so glad I took the time to read your blog this evening. I've never suffered ongoing anxiety like you have, but my son has. It was so bad a year ago that I had to go to his university and withdraw him for a semester. His doctor at the school put him on a mix of medication that completely derailed him. Anxiety can be completely disabling. About a year before he had this episode I began working with a naturopathic physician (Cometa Wellness) who encouraged me to completely changed my diet because I was having awful GERD symptoms. I followed her suggestions and it eliminated my symptoms and I began losing weight. The bigger bonus was I had a greater increase of energy, and I just felt "peaceful" all the time. So when I brought my son back home, instead of going the regular route and taking him to a doctor that would prescribe more meds, I looked for a naturopathic doctor. And fortunately for us we found one that actually works exclusively with patients that have anxiety disorders. She ran a bunch of blood work, including tests that would find allergies he struggled with. And we discovered that the root of what he was experiencing was diet. As long as he stays away from certain foods his body doesn't create that "fight or flight" response. he still has panic attacks, but they're farther and farther between, and a lot more manageable that what he experienced a year ago. His also started as a teenager just like you. There definitely seems to be a gut to brain connection going on. Check out the book "Grain Brain." It mentions the science behind all of that. And I love that your anxiety has brought you straight into the lap of the Father. I believe He is the one that led us to working with the doctor that helped my son. God bless you in your journey to wholeness!
